Backed up by contemporary science and technology studies (STS) I have not only studied scientific facticity (research on the medical procedure of devitalization of tumors and on the project of scientific mapping of the Czech nature within Natura 2000) and the threshold between the scientific and the political in environmental controversies, but also, beyond purely STS area and yet from within it, I have written on the political (especially communist) power and political arrangements. Currently I am working on a research project (together with Jan Paleček) on demonic possessions and religious apparitions. This study often brings us to the border between pastoral and psychiatric work, between spirituality and science. But I will focus on still another issue, that is on the question of how the (religious) turth of such phenomena or events is made and maintained. In fact, I will talk about an attempt at non-reductionist account of how religious/spiritual realities are collectively enacted (as religious/spiritual realities).
